Raising Funds for Canine Cancer Research and Labrador

 ABOUT
THE WALK
Starting on October 31st, Monty and I will be hiking 27
miles across Dartmoor National Park, over two days. We are doing this to
raise much needed money for the National Canine Cancer
Foundation (USA) and our local Labrador Rescue (UK).
DARTMOOR NATIONAL PARK
Dartmoor is a beautiful, vast expanse of rugged
and often bleak moorland in the south of England. The
moor is often shrouded in mist and in October, almost
certainly wet, windyand very cold. Challenging
terrain for a human being, just a big playground for a
Labrador!!

 One
out of every three dogs are affected by Canine Cancer.
Sadly, Over half of them will die from the disease. If
we haven't been personally affected by Canine Cancer we
almost certainly know somebody that has.
The
National Canine Cancer Foundation funds important research
into finding a cure, better treatments and cost effective
diagnostic methods for Canine Cancer.
The National Canine Cancer Foundation needs our help so
that they can continue to fund this vital research!

Labrador Rescue Trust has been helping Labradors in need
since 1988. In that time they have helped rehome
7.800 Labradors. Everyone that works for the

walk. Monty will be carrying his own supplies
(kibble, treats and tennis ball) throughout the hike.
He has been practicing by carry bags of rice around the
house and he loves it!!!
