Name:
Samson's Ghost's Shadow Bear. I go by Shadow or Shadow Bear.
I was named after Samson, daddy's black lab, and Ghost, who
was mommy and daddy's yellow lab, and I look kind of like a
black bear. Daddy calls me his "Little Buddy".
How old are you?
I am one and a half.
Where do you live?
Cleveland, TN. I was born in Knoxville, TN
Favorite food:
I am not fussy, but I do like chicken a lot and those little
Goldfish pretzel's.
Favorite toy/toys:
Anything with a squeaker in it, tennis balls, rope and plush
toys I can de stuff. I think my sister Miranda is a chew toy.
Hobbies:
I like to look out the front window keeping an eye on my street
or the back deck scaring off squirrels who invade my yard!
Who is your best animal friend?
Miranda would be my best animal friend. I love Wizard and my
cat sister Salem, but Miranda is the one I want to be most like.
Who is your best human friend?
Mommy! I am her Shadow.....literally. I love daddy and Carmen
tons, though.
Please describe your perfect day:
Rise and shine by 6 a.m. I go lay on top of mommy and dig my
face into hers to push her out of bed. If she resists or tells
me five more minutes, I go lay down until her snooze alarm goes
off and try again. I dont give up until she gets up! If she
wont get up by me digging my face down into the pillow trying
to kiss her face, I will lay across her, fall over on her, do
funny tricks...you name it. I am resilient. Next, I run down
the hall to the back door. I mean...come on....I Do have to
do my business first. Then time to go sit by my bowl and wait
to eat, do my business again, then start playing chase up and
down the hall, dump my toys out of my toy box and drag them
all over the house, nap alittle, look out the window, go outside
and run around alittle, find someone to curl up with and when
mommy has time, we go learn some stuff together. She is working
on land cadaver scents with me. Later I get to eat again. At
night, Miranda brings daddy my bowl to put my food in and I
go sit and wait in my spot for him to bring it to me. Then I
have to do my business and have fun with the entire family for
awhile before bed time. I sleep on mommy's feet.
Do you like cats?
I love MY cat. I dont know about other cats. Salem came to live
at our house about 2 weeks before I did, so we get along great.
Any bad habits:
I like to dig in the bathroom waste baskets and look in the
kitchen trash can. I tear card board up into small pieces. I
also de stuff stuffed toys and dig the squeakers out. If I have
a ball that squeaks, that doesn't last long. I find a way to
puncture it so it wont squeak anymore. Of course, Miranda thinks
that is great...she seems to get annoyed when I squeak things
over and over and over and over....I also am bad about eating
pooh. I know...gross, but what can I say? Was that Too much
information? Sorry.

Mom is training me to do land cadaver scenting like my big sister
Miranda. I am not learning to do underwater searches, however.
I am very disciplined, hate to be fussed at, and learn quickly.
I know a few tricks like left and right, putting my head down,
keeping mommy cold if she says she wants me to lay across her,
and I know how to go fetch daddy for mommy. I haven't learned
all the neat stuff Miranda, my sister, has learned, but mommy
is working more on scent training for now. She says there is
plenty of time for all that fancy stuff later on.
I love people....think everyone who came to our house came to
see ME, and I am a very happy little guy.
