Katja received her first pet portrait commission, a Golden Retriever, at the age of thirteen. Trained as an artist in Gothenberg, Sweden, she then went on to work as a graphic designer and web designer for 10 years,
Since her return to her "true calling in life" Katja has established herself as a much sought after pet portrait artist. Looking at her work it's easy to see why she became so successful, so quickly. A combination of natural talent and hard work has seen her pet portrait commissions double in the last two years. A huge achievement by anybodies standards!

Although 2008 is set to be another busy year, Katja is still taking on new commissions. 'People with Pets' portraits are her most recent addition to an already impressive range of services.

Katja has a unique way of working. Her clients are able to see their pet portrait develop through various stages, step by step, from a simple pencil sketch to finished artwork. Katja photographs each major step and uploads it to her websites' "Work in progress" pages. This allows clients to have full input as your portrait develops.
