"The Original All Style, No Stink Collar"

The collar that we tested is from the "Classic Stripe" range in the large size (17-21 inches or 43-53cm). There's 27 different collars to choose from!

My first impression of the collar was how well built it looked. It looks as if it will last for years and I love the chunky, shiny buckle. The collar is made from a special blend of polymers that won't absorb moisture, retain dirt, or harbor bacteria. It feels like the kind of material that you find on sports watch straps. Looks-wise, the collar can't be faulted but how would it perform in the ultimate test of them all....THE LAB TEST?

So, how good are they?

Monty Gets Muddy

The plan was, to keep the Dublin Dog Collar on Monty for a whole week and only take it off at bed time. Now with any normal collar, after a week, the smell would be so bad the neighbors would complain! Okay, a slight exaggeration perhaps but I'm sure you see my point :-)

Every day we went for a swim and a run and on one occasion Monty indulged in an obligatory roll in fox poop. It's traditional, he has to do that at least once a week! Monty has taken the collar into streams a fish pond and on Saturday, some of the filthiest stagnant water I have ever seen. The combination of hot weather, a hot dog and filthy water is usually a recipe for a very smelly collar. NOT with the Dublin Dog Collar. It still smells and looks like new! The Dublin Dog Collar passed the LAB TEST with ease!

In Summary:

I'm very, very impressed with the Dublin Dog Collar. They are perfect for Labs and any other water loving dog. In fact, I think they are great for any dog regardless of whether they like getting wet and muddy or not. They look fantastic. A real quality product!
